Miracles do happen
What a difference a day can make. I guess sometimes when you open your eyes, you find what you were looking for. (And sometimes you find the answers from people you never expected)
I am closing the book on my last post and starting a new one. A couple years ago I figured out that in the end…it really just matters that you know deep down you will be ok; no matter what life, or people, throw at you. I know deep down, I will be more than fine.
I used to be so worried about whether I would be happy in the future that I forgot to be happy in the present….but that is truly what I am today, happy.
~Cheers to closure and seeing things for what they are

Get out of my dreams
Ever have someone you can’t seem to let go of? I’m willing to try all kinds of hairball schemes to find a way. I’ve never really let anyone go before on my own accord while I still cared deeply for them and think it could work out ‘if only’. I’d say I was lost in translation, but I need something to translate first.
Its ironic that I’ve been through far worse situations in life than this, but for this…for me, love = life.
Someone tell me what to do when you’d give anything for more, but you fear there is no more to give.
~Cheers to miracles

The skype express
As if we didn’t have enough things in our life to enhance communication these days…welcome to the next one
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/7066271.stm
Personally, I hate talking on the phone. I’m much more of a texter…but I am grateful for all the ways we have to keep in touch these days. The only downfall is that since it’s so easy, when we have times of silence it seems…lonely. Could you imagine way back when having to wait 3 months for a letter from a loved one? K-razy!
I may make a phone call today in the spirit of celebration.

Golden (oh)Boy
So, I’ve known a lot of men in my life…but only a select few with a golden joystick. You know the day the originators of that name came up with that idea they gave themselves a high five and went to a strip club after.
Besides…Gears of War winning it? PULEASE. This little lady thinks the golden part should be revoked so they can still play with their joystick.

Too many TPS reports
Really? Now we are complaining about too MANY e-mails? WTF people. Honestly, if you expect to live in a telecommuting world then L2deal. Trust me, I get just as many as anyone else..yet somehow I manage to keep my sanity. My ideal world includes not coming into the office on Fridays, and instead, working from wherever the F I want…so, TY to my current employer for not jumping on this bandwagon.

Nah, nah, nah, nah…Hey Jude
Over the weekend I went to see a very different but throughly enjoyable movie which is sure to be a cult classic someday…Across the Universe.
Its about and English bloke (so you know I loved it LOL) who comes to America in search of his father in the 60’s, and instead finds love, anti-war protest, rock n roll, free love, and all things sixties. The amazing part about this movie is its a movie/musical made entirely around Beetles songs.
Parts of the movie made me fall in love with cinema again, but a few parts made me wonder if I was on acid or the director was LOL. Overall I found it to be well worth the $10 bucks and unlike anything that has been in the theatres in a while.
~Cheers to tall dark and handsome leading actors with an English accent!

Put your best ear forward
Two words… 1. Eww and 2. Creepy
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7039821.stm
First of all, the part about how they didn’t want to give him the operation because it wasn’t a ‘necessary’ procedure…give me a f-in break. We have breast implants and face-lifts and stomach stapling like its a sport and you are telling me those are ‘necessary’? Ok well the breast ones are ROFL
I don’t think his new ear is offensive…just…FREAKING CREEPY! LOL. I can’t believe he wants to put a microphone in it to pick up what it’s hearing LMAO! Dude..I don’t want to know what your making-me-nauseous ear is not listening to.

Smack what?
Instead of writing about news today, I thought I’d share my musical band o’choice today. I’ve been rockin out to Godsmack since I got into work today. Hella yeah boyz! You guys are actually making me envious about being in a band since the ‘Pour some sugar on me’ days. Besides Tool…I think you emulate what being a rock star is all about.

What? Porn? Where?
Oh my little goodness this story made me laugh so hard. Mostly because he is seriously trying to deny any knowledge of his memory stick being filled with illegally downloaded porn from the internet. Who keeps their porn on a memory stick anyway? ROFL. Dude, keep your porn where the rest of us do…on a backup drive. Was he that desperate that he needed it on the go? I guess when you travel a lot you never know when or where you might need it LOL. Maybe you could label your memory sticks “porn” and “not porn/government official work shiz”.
~Cheers to you future Mr. President

America…F yeah!
Thank you my lovely president for leaving your mark on our children before you slide out the door. Why am I not surprised anymore that the mark happens to be a skid mark. Now don’t be alarmed children…it’s really for the greater good of his cronies. You don’t really need healthcare anyway…you’re young, you don’t get sick…and even if you did, you have the omnipotent and gracious insurance companies looking out for you. Was that too sarcastic for a Thursday?
You think if I threw enough money at his presidency I could get a ban on ever letting another CEO president in the Whitehouse? I bet my life on the fact that with enough financial greed thrown his way, I could get whatever I wanted passed before he’s gone. This isn’t what I envisioned when I voted for you. Thanks for letting me down and destroying my faith in the Republican party for life. Consider me an independent. America…F yeah!

And now…to take over the world
As an Economist and someone who has had more than the average experience with all things Wal-Mart….this is very bad news all around. A corporation branching into the banking sector? Now I realize the ‘Bank of America’s’ of the world are quasi corporations, but when it comes right down to it…they only provide one service, banking. I think we start to get ourselves in trouble when corporations turn into mini-countries. Any business that has a way to finance its self is only asking for corruption. I think its pretty shady that they couldn’t get this new venture supported in America so they went to Mexico.
At any rate…for 2 years now I have not supported the Wal-Mart entity or anyone associated with it in any way…and I plan on keeping it that way. Target FTW!

Hellooooo Mrs. Robinson
OMG HAHAHA
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7019998.stm
I adore this story. It gives me so much hope for the future. Not to find love, but that I too will be able to make the world news. Once I turn 80 I’m gonna go down to my local video game store and pick me up a fresh 18 year old. I’ll make him cook and clean for me in his little cabana boy outfit and then leave him all my fortunes…and my cat.
HAHA what a great way to start out the new month!
~Cheers
