So…apparently this Sunday is the American football Superbowl. /Overhyped
http://www.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/01/30/superbowl.heart.ap/index.html
This article that CNN wrote about it is HYSTERICAL. It’s about how dangerous ‘big’ sporting events are to your health….because of all the typical things fans do. So just remember people…on Sunday, you should be following this doctor’s advice:
*Avoid tobacco smoke and fatty meals
*Get plenty of sleep the night before
*Don’t over-exert yourself physically
*If you drink alcohol, limit yourself to one drink for a woman and two for a man
*Try not to get too angry with the refs
No wonder they don’t let women write about sports these days….geesh woman don’t you know this a great American tradition?
~Cheers to health conscious Americans
I applaud the Britt’s for conducting this survey. I don’t think Americans want to see the truth of their citizens health…no matter what day of the week. At least I’m not the only one who feels this way…apparently several billion of the Queen Mother’s believers do too. LOL. I know last night was no exception to this rule for me.

Enjoying the age old pleasure that is wine as I do….I found this to be particularly interesting.
When I lived in New York City, I took a wine class at a cooking school in the Village. One of the first things they told us was, ‘wine doesn’t have to be expensive to be good’ We sampled a variety of different types and price ranges and learned early that frugality doesn’t come at the expense of taste. I thought this was something many people knew, but apparently not.
All I can say is this survey is an interesting social statement about America.

Being the HUGE geek and game fanatic that I am….this article is awesome (and kinda sad). I can’t believe gaming words are making it into everyday terminology and showing up in places like the dictionary. Even though I’m a gamer, I still believe in proper English LOL

So much is happening in the world today to write about. I could comment on the primary elections, the recession, the job market….
Instead it’s an individual who has captured my attention today. I’m feeling….I am wondering what might have been. I still miss him terribly even if nothing is to be. I hope someday you might be ready.

Sometimes stories come along that just make me smile.
Dude, I know EXACTLY how you feel…I just never tried the glue thing. Plus, I don’t blame ya…I wouldn’t want to be in public schools these days either. Seemed like a sound theory though for a kid…next time try that tacky crap that they put on the back of gift cards to hold them to that waste of paper where you can write your name… that shiz always seems to stick around somewhere.

I am a PC kinda gal. I’ve never owned a mac, don’t know my way around a mac, and will probably never will give into the mac hype. Therefore, I found this article from Gates very interesting.
I’m a bit of a skeptic lately about how the world is changing, even though I am very happy in mine. Interesting tech reading…enjoy.

I have made some new years’ resolutions which may or may not include beefing up my work ethic LOL. I have also decided to move this year, to where is still undetermined in my mind. I have decided to take a vacation to England/Ireland, and spend more time with my family. I have decided to stop worrying about love so much and enjoy the people I have in my life now. I have decided I’m going to stop worrying that drinking wine every night with dinner makes me an alcoholic. My holidays were amazing this year even if I am quasi-ambivalent about this year. Welcome to 2008
~Cheers
