Wow, Facebook only has 8M+ members??  Who would have thought?  Personally, having grown out of my silly little girl phase of my 20’s…I perfer it in every way.  Myspace is so….puberty.  Although I have to say, I think all ’social networking sites’ are just a way for people to feel like they have control over their world.  People always find a way to keep in contact with those they want to.

I wonder what’s going to happen with the US trade embargo we have against Cuba now.  I’m personally going to plan a vacation there.  I have Canadian friends who took their honeymoon to Cuba and said it was absolutely beautiful. 

Oh, and is anyone else besides me concerned that George Bush is speaking for them?  You know what Mr. President…since you have less than a year left in office, instead of traveling around the world spinning business deals with world leaders while you can, why don’t you go back to Texas and spend your remaining days reminiscing about how you’ve been doing that for the last 7 years.

Any why is Bush calling for free elections anyway?  Funny thing really, Democracy isn’t for everyone (I know…noble concept).

Aside from the fact that this completely obliterates the Constitution of the United States, or that this is just one more example of how the citizens of my great (term used loosely) country are being stifled into submission of our government, or how not surprising it is that this story is NOWHERE in United Stated newspapers…….

I’ve actually flown over the Alps and am happy to say it was one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen.  I promise everyone reading I will move to Europe in my lifetime…if only to retire.

So, normally I don’t consider myself a man-hater, feminist, or anything of the sort.  I typically get along better than men and understand them more frequently than women…hence why I’m not gay.  But occasionally…I find myself extremely disappointed, frustrated, and annoyed with the more masculine sex…and sometimes a bit jealous.  So for your viewing pleasure…here are the top reasons why I wish I was a man today:

–so I could have ambiguous sex with someone the same day I ended a 2 year relationship without guilt
–so I could watch porn alone while in a relationship and not feel any remorse or guilt for my partner
–so I could beat up my friends and go have a beer after
–so I could chalk up my alcoholism and drug additions to socially acceptable behaviors
–so I could justify my quarter and mid-life crisis as part of my manhood and laugh about it
–so I could be a sexist pig and still get laid by hot bitches (fucking women)
–so I could get ready for the day in 10 minutes or less and be accepted by society
–so I didn’t have to talk or communicate on a daily basis because that’s what is expected of me
–so society in general would have lower expectations of me at all

The Big V

So, I used to love Valentines Day and heart jewelry and getting called pet names like sweetpea…..and then I turned 12. 

I detest Valentines Day and all things around it.  Guys if you want this little gal you better not dare ever do anything with any symbolism or romanticism on the actual day of February 14th.  If someone actually proposed to me on V-day I would break up with them immediately just for not knowing me well enough.  What a cheesy day imo.  I mean, don’t get me wrong….I adore getting flowers and told how beautiful I am on a routine basis just like the next gal; but to succumb to the hype and marketing of that day…yikes.  You gotta work 365 days a year to be with me…not just one.  So a big F you to Hallmark and every jewelry store on the planet right now.

All I need is….hope

Hope is a funny thing.  Hope is by far the most powerful emotion….even greater than love in my opinion.  Hope is by far more of a motivation than promises or actions.  Hope can keep a person following the same path against any odds.  Hope for me right now is what keeps me waking up every morning and working towards a better tomorrow.  As long as there is even the slightest glimpse of it…everything else for me can fall to pieces.  I will keep holding on until all hope is gone.

 These brought me a different kind of hope today.  Thank you my good friend
