Who let the ODOGS out

So I haven’t been online much since I can’t get internet from home still….so I finally hacked in from work to blog again LOL.

Yesterday I participated in what we at work call “Orange Days of Giving”.  It was so much fun.  Instead of going into the office, over 1K employees including myself, did volunteer work at schools, parks, and other county areas here in Delaware.  I spent all day, mulching, picking up meth  and crack pipes, weeding, painting swingsets, and having a good time being outside during a beautiful bright sunny day.  After the work was done at 4pm, we had a party down by the waterfront with lots and lots of beer   I got hammered, made a slight ass of myself and had a lot of fun! 

I’m so glad my work does events like this.  I’ve never worked for a company that actually cares about both their employees and the community so much.  I really love my job and now love the city I work and live in just a little bit more

Couch for sale

It’s official.  I moved everything I own (except my boat) into my apt yesterday.  I drove, yet again, from Kansas to the East Coast in a U-Haul (Budget truck actually…I hear U-Hauls’ break frequently).  Aside from the flight cancellation on Thursday night, cigarette lighter not working, contract negotiations, visor falling off the ceiling mishaps, and not being able to find a hotel room…it was a perfect trip!

I’m glad it’s over…I’m not doing it again.  Ms. Kitty and I are both recooperating today. 

Oh and my leather couch won’t fit up the stairs in the hallway to my apt so I have to sell it and buy a new one…look for it on Craigslist under Delaware ~
