It ain’t over till…
Tomorrow night I am going to the opera…for the first time in YEARS. I’m /giddy. I looked through the entire seasons at both the Met in NYC and the Philly Opera and picked the one I related to the most. BEHOLD THE WINNER:

Hmm….synopsis:
This epic opera is centered around a beautiful Mandarin princess who possesses dazzling beauty, but a heart of stone. As countless suitors attempt to answer the mystifying riddles she poses, they meet their ruin. Can one brave, noble man beat her at her own dangerous game and at last ignite her passions? Puccini’s final opera and ultimate romantic masterpiece features a heartbreakingly-beautiful score anchored by the lavish melody “Nessun Dorma,” perhaps the most famous aria in all of opera.
Yeah it’s a total mystery why I relate to this one. Can’t imagine what about it drew me to it. Guess I’ll just have to keep wondering.

Ginkgo Biloba
Hmmmm…

So, as a woman in her 30’s (OUCH!) I have a hard enough time trying to remember all the things I don’t want to forget. There are really people out there who need a pill for that? Pft! Just give them a sex change and some estrogen.
Seriously though, I think this is treading on dangerous water. The brain is such a complex and unknown part of the human body that how can they be sure this pill is only targeting the part of the brain they want it to? Are we really so desperate that we would rather try to destroy cells than figure out all the potential the brain holds?
Personally, I know PTSD is very serious, extremely traumatic, and difficult to live day to day with, but if you think I’m ever going to take that pill you’re fooling yourself. Oh and ‘accelerated Alzheimer’s’…..oh yeah…sign me up /sarcasm.
~Cheers to keeping all my memories, the good, the bad, and all the ones I jokingly wish I could forget

Superbowl…SuperSexy!
Why oh why oh why oh why oh why….. did I not move to Arizona?????
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7864733.stm
The clip showed a woman unzipping a man’s trousers, followed by a graphic act between the two.
“I just figured it was another commercial until I looked up,” viewer Cora King told the Arizona Daily Star.
“Then he did his little dance with everything hanging out.”
Enough said. Sounds like my new Superbowl watching tradition will be completely alone
~Cheers to that someone in the sound booth who was watching porn and hit the wrong button!

Cornucopia
So a couple things:
1. I love the way little old men treat women. They can be so traditional and sexist, yet somehow (usually) its really cute. This morning as I’m walking out of my apt and down to the snow covered, icy steps toward my car, I ran into my very sweet Indian old-man neighbor shoveling the sidewalk (for fun…cuz that’s what retirement is all about…can’t wait). We exchange pleasantries, and as I go to take my first step off the porch he stops, looks up again at me and says…’you be extra careful on this…it very slippery’. Now, mind you I am probably 40 years his junior, stronger, healthier, and wearing snow shoes…but still he felt compelled to remind me to be cautious. It was sweet. Chivalry always makes me smile. Its nice to be worried about
2. I don’t consider myself to be a conspirator or conspiracy theorist about much except one thing (well ok two things…I don’t believe we landed on the moon either)….
I truly believe the government is planning on (has already) uniting with Canada and Mexico to form a North American Union to compete against the ‘Supernations’ (European Union, African Union, soon to be South American Union, and Asian Union)…which will have its own legislation, it’s own currency (Amero), its own central bank, its own trade tariffs, its own GDP, and its own elitist aeriodites trying to rule the world. Although from what I know about Obama (which isn’t much seeing how I’ve never met the man), I’m sure he’s a lovely man. hell I even voted for him. But I’m terrified how popular he is. People are blindly believing anything he says. This aggregate bank he just set up…part of the stimulus package…buying up bad bank debt…SCARY. Speaking as an Economist…this new government practice is going to seriously devaluate the US Dollar (basically paving the way for a new currency to replace it).
Although I typically think all governments are corrupt, I’m specifically referring to the US government. If I were born in the Revolutionary war days…I would have totally been a patriot. And no I don’t mean ‘oh I’m an American I do my civic duty, I pay taxes (scam) blah blah blah patriot…I mean a shot gun loading, government hating, fighting the power tooth and nail for individual liberties patriot. What happened to the days when people questioned everything and took nothing their leaders said at face value? Since when did having an opinion make you unpopular? Where did all the people go who used to care about freedom from religious laws, taxation without representation, and government dictating their lives? Am I the only one who will care when America isn’t a sovereign country anymore (oh she’s just not open minded enough…yeah right). Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one of my generation that gives more of a damn about where our country is going instead of American Idol or their hair.
Despite getting all worked up just now, I actually had a great night and woke up extremely happy today
~Cheers to you old man…and now on to saving the world

Ode to Michael…
Oh Michael, how I <3 thee…

I love that you are blaming this on your age….way to take the easy cop out. “Oh I’ve traveled all over the world, have a loving family, been in hundreds of commercials, but wait…I’m only 23 so I’m not responsible for my behavior”. Bitch please.
I made the comment to someone last night…is this really a surprise to anyone??? I mean come on…all the dude does is eat, sleep, and swim. Wouldn’t you smoke pot if your life were that mundane? It aint rocket science
~Cheers to finding stories to blog about from fantastical sources
