Home is where the nest is

I haven’t blogged in a while…I have been uninspired to write. Today I found something to be inspired about.

I’m so glad my sister-in-law sent me this picture today. Kansas will always be home for me, no matter where I live. I’ve been missing it quite a lot lately. I miss little things like, how clean everything is, how big the homes are, how new and up to date the buildings are, how high the personal level of presentation is, how the people aren’t consistently rude….and how even at Costco when a goose makes the landscape of a median of a parking lot her nest to lay eggs to hatch and raise her young in the spring, they cone off the area around it for her so no person and no cars can disturb her.

Workin for a livin….

So recently I’ve been finding myself staring at the map posted on the Mapquest site looking for vacation ideas…. I want two things:

1. In May I want to take a vacation within the 48 continental states of the lovely United States of America. Considering that I’ve been to all of them at least twice and every major city at least once….I’m finding myself a little bored with options. I’m leaning toward touring Napa/San Fran or hiking in the mountains of Colorado. Help!

2. In Sept/Oct I want to take another European vacation. At some point along the trip I want to be able to easily get to Amsterdam. I’m looking for a cheap flight into London or Dublin, even Paris and I’d settle for Madrid or Berlin.

I’ve been enthralled lately looking for my next get-a-way destination. I’ll take all the suggestions/recommendations I can get.

Blame Canada

So I’ve been talking to a few people lately about my FAVORITE kind of Potato chip. All but one has been completely repulsed by them….and, as usual, I don’t give a F

I would eat these all the day long if I could. I even posted a link where you can buy them. (And yes, just like everything else, they are imported /L2deal).
