So, yeah its been a while since I’ve been able to write. Here goes:

So I left a very easy and cushy job in Kansas to go explore the great cigarette smoke-filled oil refineries of the East coast. I packed up my car once again (except this time I have a cat) and drove for 2 days to Delaware. I stayed in the SHITTIEST motel that I literally thought I would get raped and plundered in….oh lets say it was in OHIO (you people scare me). Anyway…after having no major problems, I finally settled into a house that had a dead bird decaying in the room where I was soon to be sleeping. I’m not quite sure how this happens to a woman such as myself…but never the less….I took it in stride and decided to hunker down and make the best of it.

I started my new job at ING Direct (Bank) about two weeks ago, and I have to say….best company I’ve ever had the priveldge of working with/for so far. I highly recommend it to all, and you should invest your money there if you have any financial sense whatsoever.

I really like my job so far…its just very different as I can’t write e-mail or talk on my phone at all during the day. Hence why I no longer blog until the weekends LOL. I don’t have a laptop for work anymore either…so yes I’m having withdrawals. I’ll get used to it sometime I’m sure. I have a SHAWEET office though. 13th floor window corner…..its Noice!

I hate the roads round here….I like the environment and the people so far. I HATE the house I’m in atm…but I’m actively looking for my own place. If you have any suggestions….don’t be shy about speaking up.

I’m worried about my cat, turning into a morning person (as I get up at 6am everyday now), walking more, sleeping more, and generally not feeling like myself today. I hope I can say I’ve settled in better in a few weeks.

I’m going to be blogging again regularly….probably mostly on the weekends and probably more about me. I don’t have as much time anymore to read every page of the BBC at work LOLOL.

It’s my birthday /party.   I’m kinda old.  Enough said LOL

So, my birthday is tomorrow and all week, all I could think about was what I was doing last year at this time.

One year ago exactly today I was flying from Paris to Rome on AirFrance across the Swiss Alps.  I landed on a beautiful day and found myself wondering the streets of Rome, past the Pantheon, and staying in a penthouse B&B with a view at night.  It was the trip of my lifetime thus far and I am missing it terribly atm.  I think about it all the time. I can’t wait to go back.

So today is it.  No more procrastinating.  I have to file my taxes finally.

Yes I am one of the ones who waits until the last min….because I owe money.  Think I am a slacker all you want but really I am making a good financial decision.

Almost all of my friends are getting money back from the government this year and I’m like…why?  Claim less on your deductions and take the excess money and put it into even a savings account.  Earn some interest on it and pay your taxes off with the interest earnings.  You come out ahead, I guarantee.  Hello Finance 101.

Either way paying your taxes still sucks and don’t be surprised if you find me in jail one day for tax evasion…since I think taxes are unconstitutional to begin with.  I’m not afraid of you United States Government!  I’m an American damnit!

SO…I get restless every two years (like clockwork) and decide to shake up my life…usually drastically.  This time I actually did it somewhat responsibly.  I got a new job which starts on the 28th of this month and am moving about 1500 miles away LOL.  Lately I’ve been packing up my apartment (which suddenly doesn’t seem like a small one bedroom). 

I’m starting over yet again except this time I know I’m getting older.  I’m actually slowing down this time enough to realize that what I’m doing can’t just be temporary and will have impacts on my future.  As silly as that sounds…I never really thought about that in my 20’s. 

I also have a birthday coming up…oh yippee.  Well at the least the next time I write an entry like this one it will be 2 years from now.  Who knows where I will be going then

Wow I haven’t had time to blog since April 1st?  Holy hell.

I’m keeping it short n-sweet today but lots of changes are coming for me which I’ll talk about soon.

Mostly today only one thing is bugging me…people who see you opening a door and wait to walk in or out of it until you open it.  I mean come on people….I have to touch the door, so should you, especially if you have nothing in  your hands.  Seriously, the world doesn’t revolve around people waiting on you so grow up and touch the door handle you psychotic POS.

So recently I found myself traveling by plane again and was reminded of an etiquette book I randomly wrote over the last 5 years in my head for frequent flyers (even for those who are novice travelers)

1.  Take a f-in shower before you get on a plane.  Don’t wake up and think “I took one last night at 6pm and my flight isn’t until noon…I’ll be fine”.  In case you forgot, even in first class, the seats are VERY CLOSE TOGETHER.  If everyone actually showered, the planes might not actually smell like a wet, sweaty gym sock all the time.

2.  Try not to be a complete lush just because you can’t abstain from drinking for 2 1/2 hours.   Oh and try not to buy 2 bottles of gin and proceed to tell the gentlemen next to you all the insider trading secrets of your company Ms. Bank of America lady from LA who flies Northwest.

3. If you are a college student flying somewhere for Spring Break….YOU’RE NOT AS COOL AS YOU THINK YOU ARE JUST BECAUSE YOUR PARENTS CAN AFFORD A PLANE TICKET FOR YOU, so quit acting like a jackass.  Enough said.

4.  If you are overweight by more than 40 pounds….stop bitching about how small the airplanes are these days.  Your fat…lose weight and stop complaining that the whole world doesn’t support your emotional eating.

Last night I went to a wine tasting in one of the many caves that wind their way under the earth that is Missouri and/or Kansas.  It was a good time had by all…except I forgot how warm the caves are, especially with hundreds of people in them.  Just goes to show you that if there is a world nuclear war, and we all have to live in the caves for the next 30-50 years as a society….I think we should make it a clothes-free zone while we have to suffer.  Nudist colony all the way for the new world!

So for all of my youth (and I’m not admitting I’m old) I was a good little American, in fact, I was exactly the type of American that George Bush creams his pants over….I was educated by the great American school system since after all…it was looking out for my best interest, paid my taxes since after all…it was civil duty, never questioned authority or my political and religious leader since after all…they knew what they were doing and are representing me, never became politically active since after all….there’s nothing I can do about it anyway and discussing Pop culture was WAY more cool, and I went on about my very selfish life never worrying about anyone but me and my family…since after all, isn’t that what every American does? 

In fact, the only problem with my blissful existence at all was that it was 100% entirely exactly the opposite of what being an American means.

I feel enlightened these days with my viewpoint on America and its vision for the future in 2008.  I feel like I’m Neo in the Matrix and took the red pill. 
These days I’m an avid seeker of what’s really going on behind the closed doors of Washington, I don’t pay federal income taxes since there is no law in any government rulebook anywhere stating its legality, I’m fighting the Neo-conservatives tooth and nail because I can’t sit back and watch my country go to hell, while I blindly watch American Idol to entertain my small sheep-like uneducated mind, and I am a starch Constitutionalist and Independent. 

As such…this article is appalling.  This law could actually reverse a constitutional right written VERY plainly in the constitution for every American.  Now, I’m not a gun owner, I’ve never fired a gun, I detest hunting in all of its forms, and I will never allow a gun in my home.  HOWEVER, I am for American citizens having MORE rights, and for NOT taking away the ones they already have.

I’m all fired up today….mostly at my American peers for being apathetic and blind.  Since when did any American allow anyone, especially a politician, to dictate to them how they can live their life?  I’m ashamed of my generation.  Yeah you heard me Gen X’ers and Y’ers, put up or shut up and get the hell out.  You’re not the greatest generation just because you were born here and play video games every day of your meaningless selfish life.  How about you wake up and give a damn that in 2 years you won’t have any civil liberties what-so-ever.  How about you go look up what civil liberties are, SINCE YOU WENT TO PUBLIC SCHOOL AND YOU DON”T KNOW!
